Who We Are
Devine and Conquer was founded by April Hudson and Devon Tims, two passionate advocates for community empowerment. With deep roots in service, April was an educator with CPS and served as the Director of her local church’s children’s ministry, while Devon worked as a community outreach specialist focused on violence prevention. Their shared commitment to uplifting their community led them to join forces and create an organization dedicated to fostering growth, opportunity, and positive change for the youth and families they serve.
Our Mission
Devine and Conquer takes a public health approach to empowering individuals and families within Chicago communities, using programming and training to change the trajectory of their lives and prevent negative outcomes for at-risk individuals.
Our Goal
It is our goal to change the trajectory of youth outcomes by exposing them to endless possibilities. Give kids future planning skills, development, teaching financial literacy, in home banking, innovation, industrial and economic growth, and be divine in urban development and agriculture.
